The shop
Craft is a
method, not a word
Gyros Craft opened on Plaza de la Solidaridad in central Málaga and does one thing: meat on a vertical spit, carved when somebody orders it, into bread that has spent a few seconds on the grill.
The tray
On your side
of the glass
The vegetables are prepared at the front of the shop, where the queue is. Peppers, cucumber, cabbage, corn, onion. It is not a display: it is where the food comes from, and it is the fastest way to answer the only question that matters about a kebab.
The spit
Only the outside is ready
A vertical spit cooks from the outside in. At any moment the cone has a thin cooked layer and a lot underneath that is not. Carving to order means taking that layer and letting the next one start; carving in advance means serving something that has been standing in its own steam. That is the whole difference, and it is why nothing here is cut ahead of time.
Chicken, beef or mixed. The price follows the meat rather than the format, so a Gyros, a Pitamoon and a Plate with the same filling cost the same. Fries and a drink turn any of them into a meal for three euros more.
For vegetarians there is the Vegelafel: falafel in place of the meat, the same salad, the same sauces.
The sauces
Made here,
not bought in
Tzatziki on a yoghurt base with cucumber, garlic and herbs. Salsa Gyros on mayonnaise with sweet paprika and tomato. And a cheese sauce that exists mostly for the Gyrosbowl.

What people usually ask
Eight complete answers, no hedging. If something here falls short, the phone number is below.
What is Gyros Craft?
Gyros Craft is a Greek street-food restaurant at Plaza de la Solidaridad 9, in the Distrito Centro of Málaga. We serve gyros made with meat carved to order off a vertical spit, along with bowls, open pita and Mediterranean plates, all assembled when the order is placed.
Where exactly is it?
At Plaza de la Solidaridad 9, 29002 Málaga, in the Distrito Centro. The plaza sits between the Alameda Principal and the western edge of the old town, a few minutes on foot from the river and next to the bus station. There are terrace tables facing the plaza.
What are the opening hours?
Gyros Craft is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week. There is no afternoon or night closure: the spit is turning at three in the morning exactly as it is at midday.
Is there a vegetarian option? Is it vegan?
There is a vegetarian option: the Vegelafel, which swaps falafel for the meat and keeps the same salad and the same house sauces. We cannot offer it as vegan as it stands: the tzatziki is yoghurt-based and the cheese sauce contains dairy. Order it with no sauce or with Salsa Gyros, and ask at the counter, because the bread is not yet confirmed as vegan.
Do you publish allergen information?
Not yet on the website, because the kitchen has not supplied the allergen table and we would rather not write down what we cannot confirm. If you have an allergy, call +34 744 25 68 69 or ask at the counter before ordering.
Can I order online?
Yes. You order on this site and collect it in the shop, usually in about fifteen minutes. You pay by card when you confirm, or at the counter when you collect. There is no delivery from this address: everything is collection or eating in.
What makes your gyros different?
The meat is not carved until somebody orders it: a vertical spit cooks from the outside in and only the outer layer is ready, so carving in advance means serving something that has been standing in its own steam. The vegetables are cut at the front of the shop, in full view, and all three sauces — tzatziki, Salsa Gyros and cheese sauce — are made here.
How much does it cost?
Gyros and plates start at €7.90 with chicken, €8.50 mixed and €8.90 with beef; the price follows the meat rather than the format. The Gyrosbowl is €9.50 and the Vegelafel €8.90. Fries and a drink add €3.00. All prices include VAT.
